The Parkersburg Big Reds tough schedule continues this Friday as they welcome in the Woodrow Wilson Eagles (3-2) to Stadium Field.

The Big Reds (2-3) have already played, and lost to three of the top-five teams in the state so far this season. This week Parkersburg faces a quarterback in Wilson’s Brett Osborne, who recently set the school record with six touchdowns in one game.

The Big Reds offensive attack is led by wide receiver Austin Life and running back Cory Burdette, who have accounted for four touchdowns apiece this season. Burdette leads the team with 284 yards on the ground, and is averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Quarterback Josh Trembly has throw for 445 yards and accounted for seven touchdowns as well, with four of those being completed to Life, who is also averaging 23.4 yards per catch.

Woodrow Wilson, on the other hand, has won all of the games that they were favored in, as all three wins have come against teams with a combined 3-12 overall record this season.

The one common opponent between the two teams is Cabell Midland. Parkersburg lost to them by a score of 42-21 in Week 3, and last week Woodrow Wilson lost to Cabell Midland by a score of 48-6.

The Big Reds are going to have to bring a balanced defensive attack this Friday, as with the likes of Chris Blankenship, who has 13 receptions for 187 yards and one touchdown, and Trey Cole, with his 12 receptions for 80 yards lead the way in the passing game. Meanwhile, another Eagle that could have a big impact offensively is Ron Blanks Jr., who has 587 all-purpose yards this season.

The game is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 p.m.
