Octubafest, Ohio University's month-long celebration of the tuba and euphonium, is kicking off tonight at 8 p.m. in the School of Music Recital Hall.

Since 1974, the annual event has become a mainstay at hundreds of universities around the world. It's marking its 16th year at Ohio University, due to the efforts of Jason Smith, OU associate professor of Tuba, who will be performing tonight.
