Music and Arts

There's no shortage of fall festivals in Southeast Ohio, especially this weekend. But there's only one area festival featuring many of today's best indie musicians (not to mention lumberjacks, bull riding, Columbus Zoo animals and fireworks): The second annual Hocktoberfest, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 at Hocking College.

Sponsored by Rocky Brands and Hocking College, the free day-long fest is offering a jam-packed schedule of entertainment, including several notable up-and-coming bands.
