Ohio Valley Summer Theater Presents Damn Yankees
What
if a person, caught up in a passion to help the local professional baseball team
win fame and fortune, promises his or her very soul to the Devil or the Devil's
agent, whoever that enticing person might be? The classic Broadway musical DAMN
YANKEES, takes a humorous look at this situation, in which an aging fan promises
away everything in order to become young and strong enough again to help the home
team win the pennant against the New York Yankees - is this appropriate timing
or what? The combination of comedy and music makes for a home-run hit for the
entire family.
In this edition of AM Athens, Bryan Gibson talks with Bob Winters, Director
of OVST's production of Damn Yankees, about what surprises he has in store for
the audience.
