What's the Problem? is a series of eight 10-12 minute video episodes that focus on the use of mathematics through parodies of different television reality shows. Each episode includes "Newsbreaks" and/or public service announcements called "Math Moments" that concentrate on individual mathematical concepts.
The video episodes focus on the Grade 8-10 Benchmarks in the Ohio Academic Content Standards for Mathematics to help students recognize how math can relate to situations in everyday life.
An extensive interactive web site is available. The site contains all of the videos, before viewing activities, after viewing activities as well as additional materials and webquests - all tied to the State of Ohio's Math Standards.
