Sunday Bluegrass
During the week, WOUB-FM's schedule consists of news, talk and Triple-A music. But on Sunday the schedule takes a decidedly folksy tone.
Sunday afternoons 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. is "Bluegrass Day" on the WOUB Radio Network. D28+5 is a place where community volunteers continue a 20+-year tradition of (Blue)Grass roots radio for southeastern Ohio.

Our rotating staple of hosts includes:
Deanna and Ivan Tribe of MacArthur, Ohio; Ron Vigue from Junction City, Ohio; Pete Hart of Guysville, Ohio; and WOUB's own Rusty Smith.
Attend Our Live "Showdown" Concerts
On the first Sunday of each month (excepting holiday weekends), we present local and regional bluegrass and old-time music bands in concert at our studios at 9 South College Street in Athens. The show is broadcast live on the air at 1:00 p.m., but you can attend in person. There is no admission charge.
Thanks to our generous community volunteers, WOUB is able to present a unique program service each Sunday.
And in case you're wondering, the title of the program is all about the popular instruments that make this music -- the D28 Martin guitar and the five-string banjo or mandolin.
