When looking back at the success the 2011 Bobcat football team had, start at the top.

A football head coach is the Colonel in a football army and Frank Solich has lead his army where no Bobcat football team has gone.

With 50 wins under his belt in his first seven years as a coach, three straight bowl game appearances and the program's first-ever bowl victory, Solich has certainly brought a new attitude to Athens.

Solich was named MAC Coach of the Year in 2006 and has coached 51-All-MAC players since his arrival.

Solich's 2011 Ohio team set 47 school records, had a league-best 11 players on MAC All-Conference teams and picked up his 100th career win after a 30-3 blowout of Gardner-Webb on Sept. 10.

Solich and the 'Cats will have seven games broadcasted nationally on the ESPN family of networks in 2012.

Ohio's coach sat down with The Bobcat Sports Showcase reporter Mark Pierce at MAC Media Day in Detroit, MI.
