Snow day!

If Gov. John Kasich has his way, more Ohio students will be hearing those two precious words.

In light of recent hazardous weather, Kasich is pushing legislation to increase calamity days.

Currently, Ohio public schools are allowed five calamity days per year.

Kasich said many schools have already used all five days, and adding extra days this one time would keep students safe.

In 2011, Kasich increased the number of calamity days allotted from three to five.
