Three counties in Southeast Ohio have grant money totaling $730,000 coming their way from the Governor's Office of Appalachia.

The Ohio Department of Development announced Wednesday the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission in Pike County, the Village of McConnelsville and the Vinton County commissioners all will receive funding for projects.

The regional development commission was awarded $250,000 for new office space in Seal Township in Pike County.

The commission represents 12 counties: Adams, Brown, Clermont, Fayette, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton counties.

Households in McConnelsville will see an upgrade in the village's wastewater treatment plant with the $240,000 their area received.

And the Vinton County Commissioners were awarded $242,400 to install waterline in Clinton and Elk townships. The project aims to provide affordable and safe drinking water to residents.
