Maurice NDour’s dramatic rise on scene has taken its next step. Ian Begley, who covers the New York Knicks for ESPN, was the first to report that the former Ohio forward is headed to the Dallas Mavericks.

NDour signed a three-year deal with guaranteed money for the entire first season and half of the second season.

NDour averaged just under 10 points per game while playing for the New York Knicks summer league team in Las Vegas. He posted an average of 4.8 rebounds per game while also tallying two blocks per contest. The Senegal native shot over 50 percent from the floor.

The former Bobcat made headlines when he exploded for 23 points against the Philadelphia 76ers. Knicks head coach Derek Fisher raved about NDour throughout the summer league saying, “he is doing all the right things to get picked up.”

In his two seasons with the Bobcats, NDour recorded 14.9 points per game earning All-MAC second team honors in both seasons.
