NASA said a meteorite is likely to blame for a loud boom and ground shake felt across several West Virginia counties.

According to WSAZ, 911 centers in Boone, Lincoln, and Logan counties have all received calls from people shortly after 10 p.m. who experienced the quake.

People describe the incident as a large boom that shook the foundations of their homes.
