Winter Weather Advisory For Area Through Saturday Morning

UPDATE 3:30 p.m. Portions of the region are under a winter weather warning until early Saturday morning as a clipper system moves through the region bringing another blast of snow.

According to the National Weather Service snow fall amounts will total between 2 to 6 inches.

The system is expected to bring even more snow to parts of West Virginia.  Parts of the state received up to 2 feet of snow Wednesday and Thursday.

UPDATE 11:30 a.m. There is now a winter weather advisory for Hocking County and a winter storm warning for Brown, Adams and Scioto counties. 

The storm warning now lasts until 2 a.m. Saturday. Areas included in the storm warning are expected to receive 4 to 6 inches of snow.

From the National Weather Service:

Snow will develop early Friday afternoon and increase in intensity during the mid-to-late afternoon hours. The snow will taper off from west to east late Friday evening.


A winter weather advisory has been issued for the region from 4 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday.

From one to two inches of snow are expected through the advisory area.

Untreated roads will become snow covered and treacherous.

Winds are expected 5 to 10 MPH. 

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
